Confucius Political Philosophy

Good day everyone I am Arristopher C. Casimiro Jr. and this is my speech, hope you listen because my grades depend on it. Who is a Chinese teacher, editor, politician, and philosopher of the Spring and Autumn period of Chinese history? He is Confucius one of the greatest philosopher in Eastern Philosophy. My favorites quotes of Confucius are“ It does not matter how slowly you go so long as you do not stop”, it can relate in our study, even we failed, don’t give up and try again until we succeed our goals. " Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.” In my understanding if you do a mistake, don’t lose hope, mistakes are the reason why we do a better than past.

Confucius was born on 28 September 551 BC in Lu State (now Nanxinzhen, QufuShandongChina) and died on 479 BC (aged 71–72) Lu state , he buried at Cemetery of Confucius, Qufu, China. His nationality at Lu state, Zhou China, his mother is Yan Zhengzai, Father is Kong He, and his Brother is Meng Pi. He was the founder of Confucianism (is an ethics tied intimately with political philosophy), he teaching analects (selected passages from the writings of an author or of different authors) and his main intrests are Moral philosophysocial philosophy, and ethics.

Confucius' political philosophy is also rooted in his belief that a ruler should learn self-discipline, should govern his subjects by his own example, and should treat them with love and concern. “If the people be led by laws, and uniformity among them be sought by punishments, they will try to escape punishment and have no sense of shame. If they are led by virtue, and uniformity sought among them through the practice of ritual propriety, they will possess a sense of shame and come to you of their own accord”. It seems apparent that in his own day, however, advocates of more legalistic methods were winning a large following among the ruling elite. Thus Confucius' warning about the ill consequences of promulgating law codes should not be interpreted as an attempt to prevent their adoption but instead as his lament that his ideas about the moral suasion of the ruler were not proving popular.
In this Political philosophy of Confucius, I learn that we are a ruler that should learn self-discipline, should govern his subjects by his own example, and should treat them with love and concern, we can apply it in our daily lives by having a self-discipline. We should have a discipline in our life because it can help in are behavior to control it, if we are deciding we must have deep thinking what will be the result and the effect in you and others, treat them with love and concern.
